Renowned East Anglian writer, John Ward, has 10 critically-acclaimed CDs and 2 published books to his name. John is commissioned to write songs and music, he teaches and mentors songwriting and his songs are sung and recorded by other artists on the folk scene.
John has toured extensively across the UK and overseas often with his Trio band members, Lynne Ward and Les Woodley. Their performances are heartfelt and authentic, delighting audiences with John’s songs of the Suffolk sea and land, and inspired by his wider travels.
John’s songs have received national radio airplay on the BBC Radio 2 Folk Show, BBC Wales and BBC Scotland. John’s epic narrative book and CD, Congress, was twice broadcast in 5 serialised episodes on BBC Radio Suffolk and the Trio perform Congress as a Buffalo Bill Showcase at festivals, folk clubs and theatres.
